e have a huge responsibility: we are trying to prepare children for life. As dedicated educators, we want to ensure that students have the skills they need to function as effective citizens. So we are always looking for vehicles to help us do our jobs better.
We think The Learning Connection will help us make that happen. We need to know how well students are learning and how well we are teaching them -- web-based assessment will give us fast information so we can improve teaching and learning. We need to get master teachers in front of more students -- distance learning will help us address the teacher shortage and bring a more complete curriculum to every school.
Teaching is a complex, people-centered profession. Technology helps professional educators do what they do best -- work with children -- by giving teachers the tools and information they need to do their jobs.
